Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father worked as a teacher and her mother was a stay-at-home mother. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick began singing and dancing from a young age, and often performed plays with puppets for the children from her neighborhood. When she was just six, McCormick was crowned her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her to ask if the actress would be keen to work in showbusiness. McCormick had her first significant role when she got a part as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. The commercial was re-run in 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the main character in The Wind It up and It is Broken, a show in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 200 auditioned kids, played the oldest of three double-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show lasted five seasons. McCormick, in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the television show, she was close to losing her virginity with her brother Barry Williams. She was 16 years old when she was in the scene while he was. The two of us could have been in a relationship, said she. But the timing wasn't the right time.
